Making Desserts With Your Coffee-Infused Maple Syrup

by Zoey Howell

The main reason you buy coffee-infused maple syrup is probably to drizzle it over pancakes or French toast. This is delicious, of course, but it is only one way to use coffee-infused maple syrup. If you want to get the most out of this purchase, then consider using your coffee-infused maple syrup for desserts, too. Here are some simple ways to do that.

Flavor Pudding

Can you imagine pudding that tastes like coffee and maple syrup? It's pretty magical! All you need to do is purchase a box of instant pudding mix at the store. Prepare it as instructed on the box, but add 2 tablespoons less milk than the recipe calls for. Instead, stir in 2 tablespoons of coffee-infused maple syrup before you start shaking or blending the pudding. Once the pudding has thickened, spoon it into your bowls or dessert cups. Drizzle a little more coffee-infused syrup over it before serving.

Make Sundaes

Coffee-infused maple syrup can make a delicious ice cream topping as well. You can just put it over your favorite ice cream and call it a day, or you can make things a little more intense. Add a few pecans, a couple of chocolate chips, and a dollop of whipped cream to the top of your ice cream. Finish up with a cherry, and you're in for a tasty dessert.

Bake Brownies

If you love brownies, coffee-infused maple syrup gives you a way to spruce them up a bit. Make the brownie mix as instructed on the box. When the brownies mix is in the pan, swirl a couple of tablespoons of coffee-infused maple syrup into the top of the mix. Bake your brownies as normal. Then, let them cool for about 30 minutes before using a pastry brush to brush a thin layer of syrup over them. Finish cooling, cut, and enjoy.

Bake Cookies

Cookies with a hint of coffee-infused maple syrup are also delicious. Mix up your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe — the one from the back of the chocolate chip bag is tasty! Cut the sugar down by about 2 tablespoons. Add about 2 tablespoons of the coffee-infused maple syrup to the dough before you portion it out. Bake the cookies as usual.

Making desserts with your coffee-infused maple syrup isn't hard, and it is a fun and easy way to enjoy the product.
